Safe to say, the world has been a little crazy in 2020. Stephanie & Lee were my first official wedding back after all of the craziness that Covid brought the world this year. These two cuties were originally supposed to get married at the gorgeous Starry Night Barn & Studios here in Northern Michigan, but obviously had to change their plans with everything going on. Instead, they decided to have a Northern Michigan intimate wedding right at their own home in Lake Ann. Their only guests were their immediate family members, and their day couldn’t have been more beautiful and intimate.
One of my favorite parts of Stephanie & Lee’s Northern Michigan intimate wedding was their sweet wedding vows to each other. They were genuinely the most personal vows I’ve ever heard from one of my sweet couples. I don’t think there was a dry eye among anyone there. I also really loved their first dance. Steph and Lee had their first dance in their own back yard and they both sang along, in their own little world while the song played.
But the absolute best part of their entire day, in my opinion, was how they didn’t let the fact that they had to change their plans completely so soon before their wedding day affect how much joy and love they experienced on their day. They’re both truly such beautiful souls, and it was so clear that they enjoyed every second of their day even though it was nothing like they had originally planned. Because at the end of the day, it was about the two of them and their marriage, which is exactly how it should be!
