The Mohicans | An Elegant Treehouse Elopement

This elegant, elopement styled shoot at The Mohicans was an absolute dream to shoot. If you’re like me, I had never heard of The Mohicans until I went to this shoot. Now that I’ve been there, I’m just a little bit obsessed. Getting out to this venue alone makes you feel like you’re on an adventure! Like you are venturing into a completely different world! The whole place is off the main road and tucked miles away in the woods of Ohio. It’s seriously amazing! There are 4 different cabins and 6 treehouses that you can rent out, as well as the main barn for receptions. For this part of the styled shoot, we ended up in The Nest.

The Nest is an adorable, round, little treehouse tucked away in a grove. It’s cozy, intimate, and the perfect little hideaway for newlyweds. It’s the perfect honeymoon treehouse! Just check out these gorgeous shots below to see!

Going to my first styled shoot was most-definitely an adventure. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I can see now why photographers love them. Even though it was out of my comfort zone as an introverted person, it’s so nice to meet other photographers and spend time with people in my same field. We don’t get meet other like-minded people as much as we’d like to. Photographers as a whole are all so independent. We have to be, because running your own business is hard, and it takes a lot of time. So I think anytime we can get together and enjoy the company of people who appreciate all the little details as much as we do, it’s a pretty good thing.
