A Summer Backyard Wedding | Middlebury, IN

Emily and Collin were married on the first weekend of August in a gorgeous summer backyard wedding, and I’m still a little teary-eyed over how gorgeous and emotional their wedding day was. I don’t think anything about their wedding day was what they had originally imagined. They were originally supposed to get married here in Northern Michigan at the Inn at Bay Harbor in Petoskey but had to change their plans after the Coronavirus threw everyone for a loop this year. Emily and Collin didn’t let the change of plans or the rainy weather put a damper on their day though. They just enjoyed every second of finally being married! And it was absolutely perfect in spite of the rain!

The first big moment of the day was an amazing gift that Collin managed to surprise Emily with while she was getting ready with her girls! Make sure to watch their highlight film and look through the pictures to see his amazing gift and Emily’s reaction! Best wedding day surprise ever!

And secondly, Collin had a little visitor while he was reading his letter from Emily, and I’m not going to lie, I about had a heart attack from the cuteness. If you want to see a pregnant photographer cry, just add a baby deer into an already gorgeous summer backyard wedding day mix 😂 I didn’t stand a chance!
