Firstly, this Tecumseh wedding was one of the cutest backyard weddings I’ve ever seen!

They did it! Katie & Max got married! Their Tecumseh wedding was one of the cutest backyard weddings I’ve ever seen! It was 80+ degrees out and the air conditioning in the church decided not to work, however, Max and Katie didn’t care. All that mattered was that it was their wedding day!

One of my favorite things about backyard weddings is the sense of community and family at these weddings. Everyone is more relaxed so there’s always just an atmosphere of excitement and family that you don’t quite get at bigger wedding venues.

Their ceremony was held at Covenant Church in Tecumseh, Michigan, and the reception was held at Max’s parent’s house. This Tecumseh wedding was particularly special for me to be a part of because I’ve known Katie (the bride) and Nicole (the photographer) since we were about 4 or 5 years old. Somewhere in the world there are pictures of the 3 of us together in kindergarten. So when Nicole (Nicole Renee Photography) asked me to second shoot for her, I didn’t hesitate to say yes.
