Sleeping Bear Dunes Engagement Session

I got to kick off my 4th of July weekend with Katie & John’s gorgeous Peterson Beach Sleeping Bear Dunes engagement session and gosh was it beautiful. I’d actually never been out to Peterson Beach Recreation Area, but I love exploring new places with my sweet couples. And I’m especially always down to explore the gorgeous Sleeping Bear Dunes area here in Michigan! So when Katie said they wanted beachy Lake Michigan engagement pictures, I knew it’d be the perfect spot for a Sleeping Bear Dunes engagement session.

I love getting to do an engagement session with my couples because it gives us a chance to have some fun together before their wedding day and lets us get to know each other. One of my favorite things about Katie & John’s story is how they met! They actually met on Instagram because they kept showing up in each other’s adventure feeds. They both love camping, hiking, and exploring this beautiful state that we live in. Once Katie decided to message him, they realized they only lived about half an hour from each other and the rest, as they say, is history.
