Traverse City Engagement Photography | Old Mission Peninsula

One of my favorite things to do since Zach and I moved to Traverse City, Michigan has been to explore the gorgeous nature that surrounds this beautiful part of our state. Being able to use my Traverse City engagement photography to do that is just one of the many perks that come along with being a Traverse City photographer. The two beautiful peninsulas that we have in this area are some of my favorite places to explore and a drive along the shorelines of either East or West Bay is one of my favorite things.

“For Carla and Weston’s Traverse City engagement photography session, we decided to head up Old Mission Peninsula”

For Carla and Weston’s Traverse City engagement photography session, we decided to head up Old Mission Peninsula. Our first stop was at the Pelizzari Natural Area. If you’ve never been here, it’s a gorgeous place to do some hiking. There are over 3 miles of trails that go through beautiful woods and meadows. It’s the perfect place to take your pup on a Saturday afternoon to get some fresh air!

Our second stop was at the top of the Peninsula. At the Mission Point Lighthouse. If you’ve never been here, you need to go. The beach is beautiful, and it’s the perfect place to get away for an afternoon. It was too cold to go into the water every time I’ve been this year, but I’m already dreaming of next summer. I have a feeling that it may be my go-to spot to grab a book and a blanket and head to the beach. There’s nothing better than sitting on a beach on a sunny afternoon, reading a good book, and dipping your toes into the water.

“One of my favorite things about Carla and Weston’s Old Mission Peninsula engagement session was seeing these two together”

Obviously, the scenery was beautiful, but one of my favorite things about Carla and Weston’s Old Mission Peninsula engagement session was getting to see these two together. They are so comfortable around each other, and their smiles are just contagious. I just love it when couples are naturally goofy with each other. Wes also knows some great Dad jokes and had me cracking up. If you didn’t already know this, dad jokes are my favorite! But take a look through their Traverse City engagement photography session, and you’ll see just how happy these two are. Their wedding day is sure to be full of smiles, joy, and laughter all around.

Thank you so much for exploring with me, Carla & Wes!
